Hollywood has been trying to make a Movie of the notorious Druglord for quite some time, with both Oliver Stone and Joe Carnahan with projects on hold for respective films "Escobar" and "Killing Pablo" but it looks like a new kid on the Hollywood Block, Brad Furman, is the one that will actually make the film a reality.
Furman who sneaked up on Hollywood with his film "The Lincoln Lawyer" becoming a sleeper success. Furman was also set to direct Arnold Schwarzenegger in his come back film "Cry Macho" before the whole infidelity scandal was blown out.
There is alot of steam behind this project, and even though there is no leading man cast to play the infamous Pablo, the inside buzz is that this could be the next Godfather or Scarface. Let's hope Escobar's amazing story is told with substance and facts and not just another superficial documentary of what was the life of the most powerful druglord in history.
